Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use browser storage technologies such as local storage and session storage, which serve similar purposes.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Cookies and Storage

GrassRoster uses cookies and browser storage for the following purposes:

2.1 Essential Storage

These are necessary for the Service to function properly:

  • Authentication tokens stored in local storage (not HTTP cookies) to keep you signed in
  • Security features and fraud prevention
  • Theme and UI preferences (e.g., dark/light mode)
  • Basic navigation and page functionality

2.2 Functional Storage

These enable enhanced functionality and personalization:

  • Language preferences
  • Timezone settings
  • UI customization and workspace state

2.3 Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, request consent before enabling non-essential tracking.

We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies.

5. Managing Cookies and Site Data

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies and site data through their settings. You can:

  • View cookies and site data stored on your device
  • Delete existing cookies and local storage

  • Clear browsing data including cookies and site storage

Browser-specific instructions

Note: Clearing local storage or blocking site data will sign you out and may reset your preferences. Some features may not work until you sign in again.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the Service or by updating the date at the top of this policy.

8. Consent

Essential storage required to operate the Service (such as authentication tokens in local storage) is used when you log in and use the platform. We do not currently display a separate cookie consent banner because we do not use non-essential analytics or advertising cookies today.

If we introduce non-essential cookies or tracking, we will update this policy and request consent where required by applicable law (including for users in the European Economic Area).
